Working at Thumbay
In 1997, a young and enthusiastic businessman from India founded the Company Group in the United Arab Emirates. He founded the UAE’s first private medical college in Ajman, which later became a full-fledged medical university, Gulf Medical University (GMU). Faced with the challenge of providing adequate clinical training facilities to students, he built the region’s first private teaching hospital, which laid the foundation for Thumbay Hospitals.
Soon after its launch, Thumbay Hospital – Ajman emerged as a popular healthcare destination in the country, prompting the Company Group healthcare to set up several teaching hospitals in various locations across the UAE. It was added to the state-of-the-art family clinic Thumbay Clinic, many specialized day care hospitals Thumbay Hospital Day Care, the pharmacy chain Thumbay Pharmacies and several diagnostic centers Thumbay Labs.’ across the country.
In 2017, Thumbay Group launched Thumbay Hospital Day Care, a network of multi-specialty day care hospitals. They offer treatments and procedures such as day care without an overnight stay in hospital.
